Nope, not a drummer. I have a set of drums, though, and I want to learn. I'm also trying to learn to play guitar (my biggest desire, at least musically speaking!). :)
Your new setup looks nice. Once I get mine setup -- i.e. once I figure out how to even set them up, ha! -- I'll have to get some pictures. I don't know if they're any good or not, but it won't make a difference for me.
Wow, umm... why indeed?! How long has it been pink? I remember changing it not long ago from a wintery one (not Christmas-specific, but still too Christmasy for April) to an Easter/Spring one... I don't recall it being pink. Ack.
Vox has a 'this is good' tag; why not a 'this is bad' one? haha
UGH. Thanks for the heads-up. I'm changing it now.
If I am ever in your neck of the woods I will stop by and help you set them up to fit you and give you some quick pointers. If you get serious, just setup the snare, gets some sticks, and learn the basic rudiments.
Type basic rudiments in Google and you will get all the help you need to get started. Or visit your local music store and pickup a video.
I gave up both the banjo and guitar (sold the banjo, gave the guitar away) and sticking with the drums.
I guess I just worry that I'm not... I don't know, 'drummer material'. I'm one of those can't-pat-my-head-and-rub-my-tummy at the same time kind of people, which doesn't seem like a good fit for a drummer. Maybe that doesn't matter...? I don't know.
I've never even heard of basic rudiments, so that definitely gives me a starting place!

Good luck with either.
